While he’s this fearsome pirate, he also has a softer side, and watching him and Nathaniel in forced proximity was epic! The Sea Hawk doesn’t stand a chance against Nathaniel’s will. He says what he means, and although he’s scared of this new situation, he also has no issue going after the passion and pleasure he seeks. Nathaniel has to be the most genuine hero I’ve read to date. But the legendary pirate isn’t as frightening as he first appears, and Nathaniel realizes that maybe he can finally experience what he’s wanted all along…to be with a man. The merchant ship he’s traveling on, however, is waylaid by pirates and he finds himself the captive of The Sea Hawk. Nathaniel Bainbridge is making his way to his father’s island, Primrose Isle, to start a new life and marry a lady named Elizabeth. What a wonderful novel this turned out to be! This book called to me, and I couldn’t wait to sink in.
